Chicago – State Representative Jaime Andrade’s inaugural Christmas Cards for Seniors Drive saw an overwhelming turnout of support from 40th District residents, with nearly 200 handwritten letters being delivered to a local assisted living facility, Paul House, just in time for the holidays.
“The holidays are the most joyous time of the year, but for many seniors living on their own, they can be difficult – especially given the ongoing pandemic. It’s been a hard couple years for everyone, and I am so proud of all those who brought creative, handwritten and drawn cards to my office for the residents of Paul House. Thank you to the many neighborhood children who worked hard on their cards, which came in four different languages, and to the parents and teachers who encouraged them to do so. The great turnout reminds me of how wonderful of a community the 40th District has.”
The Christmas Cards for Seniors Drive will be held again in 2022.
